Sprint 4G App Challenge accepting Android submissions

With Sprint (NYSE:S) continuing to roll out its 4G WiMAX network across the U.S., the operator launched its first Sprint 4G App Challenge, calling on developers to create applications that leverage next-generation data speeds as well as the unique features of smartphones like the Android-based HTC Evo 4G and Samsung Epic 4G. Sprint is accepting submissions now through Nov. 5, and will recognize the most impressive entry in each of five categories: Entertainment, Gaming, Productivity, Social Networking and Multimedia. Submissions will be judged based on four criteria–creativity, intuitive navigation, functionality and design–and winners in each category will walk off with a $50,000 grand prize, an HTC Evo 4G with one year of Sprint service and a one-year membership to the Sprint Professional Developer Program (including 250 hours in the Virtual Developer Lab).

Sprint recommends that developers learn more about building 4G applications by checking out the Sprint Applications Developer Program website, which includes resources on developing for an Android handset and maximizing the Sprint 4G network as well as the HTC EVO 4G and Samsung Epic 4G’s hardware and software capabilities. Sprint adds that developers who submit 4G App Challenge submissions by Oct. 20 will be eligible to receive one free admission to this year’s Sprint Developer Conference, taking place Oct. 26-28 in Santa Clara, Calif.

Apple loosens the reins–will its reign continue?

Jason AnkenyThere are some mysteries that seem destined to remain unsolved: Who built the pyramids? Did Lee Harvey Oswald act alone? Why do they call it Grape Nuts when it contains neither grapes nor nuts? But another of life’s great riddles–How Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) determines which iOS application submissions earn its official stamp of approval–reached an unexpected resolution last week when the computing giant finally published its App Store Review Guidelines, providing developers with rules and examples across a series of iOS software subjects like user interface design, functionality, content and technology restrictions. The guidelines are so direct and blunt you can’t help but wonder whether Apple CEO Steve Jobs typed them up himself: Highlights include “We have over 250,000 apps in the App Store. We don’t need any more Fart apps,” “If your app doesn’t do something useful or provide some form of lasting entertainment, it may not be accepted” and (my personal favorite) “If your App looks like it was cobbled together in a few days, or you’re trying to get your first practice App into the store to impress your friends, please brace yourself for rejection. We have lots of serious developers who don’t want their quality Apps to be surrounded by amateur hour.”

Other shoot-to-kill offenses, according to the App Store Review Guidelines: Apps that create alternate desktop/home screen environments or simulate multi-app widget experiences; apps that alter the functions of standard switches (e.g., Volume Up/Down and Ring/Silent switches); submissions that duplicate apps already for sale in the App Store, particularly if there are many of them; and apps deemed “defamatory, offensive, mean-spirited, or likely to place the targeted individual or group in harm’s way.” (Apple notes that professional political satirists and humorists are exempt from the latter restriction–earlier this year, the App Store rejected NewsToons, a political caricature app submitted by editorial cartoonist Mark Fiore, but reversed its decision after Fiore won a Pulitzer Prize. Exactly how Apple will determine what constitutes a “professional” satirist isn’t clear, however.)

The App Store Review Guidelines also address the inherent subjectivity of the approval process–long story short, if you think your app is likely to run into trouble, it probably will. “We will reject Apps for any content or behavior that we believe is over the line,” Apple states. “What line, you ask? Well, as a Supreme Court Justice once said, ‘I’ll know it when I see it.’ And we think that you will also know it when you cross it.” Jobs’ stance on adult content is well known: During an April email exchange with a customer, he wrote “We do believe we have a moral responsibility to keep porn off the iPhone. Folks who want porn can buy [an] Android phone.” Jobs also has no patience for tattletales: “If your app is rejected, we have a Review Board that you can appeal to,” the App Store Review Guidelines state. “If you run to the press and trash us, it never helps.”

Which makes it all the more interesting that Adobe Systems is earning a reprieve. After all, in the wake of Apple’s April update of its iPhone developer agreement to mandate that all applications must be written to run directly on the iOS platform, effectively banning cross-compiler translation tools like Adobe’s Flash Professional Creative Suite 5, Adobe platform evangelist Lee Brimelow publicly called out Apple in a much-publicized blog entry, ranting “This is a frightening move that has no rational defense other than wanting tyrannical control over developers and more importantly, wanting to use developers as pawns in their crusade against Adobe… Speaking purely for myself, I would look to make it clear what is going through my mind at the moment. Go screw yourself, Apple.” But last week, Apple unexpectedly lifted the ban: “We are relaxing all restrictions on the development tools used to create iOS apps, as long as the resulting apps do not download any code,” Apple said in a statement. “This should give developers the flexibility they want, while preserving the security we need.” The changes to sections 3.3.1, 3.3.2 and 3.3.9 of the iOS Developer Program license will enable developers to design and build apps in Flash, then convert their efforts to Apple-approved code–the revisions do not mean consumers will be able to access Flash-based web content via their iPhone and iPod touch devices, however.

Here’s a new mystery: Why the change of heart? Or at least, why now? Jobs’ aversion to Flash is known to all, and it’s difficult to imagine him rethinking his stance. Apple credited its decision to remove the Flash ban on developer feedback–more likely, you can chalk it up to the rumored Federal Trade Commission antitrust inquiry to determine whether the company’s actions threatened competition by forcing developers to focus on one platform to the exclusion of others. No matter what happened, Adobe was quick to applaud Apple’s decision: An Adobe blog post titled ‘Great News for Developers’ explains the move has “direct implications for Adobe’s Packager for iPhone, a feature in the Flash Professional CS5 authoring tool. This feature was created to enable Flash developers to quickly and easily deliver applications for iOS devices. The feature is available for developers to use today in Flash Professional CS5, and we will now resume development work on this feature for future releases… We’re hearing from our developer community that Packager apps are already being approved for the App Store.” And what’s great news for developers is also positive for Apple, especially with Google’s rival Android OS surging: A more hospitable, more transparent App Store is a proposition that’s going to be tough for developers to resist. Apple’s moves are above all about maintaining iOS’s status as the development platform of choice–that’s no mystery. -Jason

Free apps dominate Android Market, but at what cost?

Jason Akeny

Android keeps growing, and so does the number of free applications in Google’s Android Market–free apps now make up 60 percent of the digital storefront’s inventory, up 3 percent since May, according to new data issued by app store analytics firm Distimo. By comparison, Microsoft’s Windows Marketplace for Mobile boasts the smallest percentage of free apps at 22 percent, with free apps making up 26 percent of both Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) App Store for the iPad and Research In Motion’s (NASDAQ:RIMM) BlackBerry App World. Distimo offers multiple theories to explain the scarcity of premium Android apps: For one, developers in only nine countries are presently able to distribute paid applications via Android Market–moreover, paid apps are available in only 14 of the 46 countries that Android Market serves. Distimo adds that consumers must register for a Google Checkout account in order to download paid applications, except in locations where operator billing is available.

The challenges inherent in distributing and selling premium applications via Android Market have no doubt slowed developer interest in the platform. But Bloomberg reports that with consumer interest in Android exploding, an increasing number of developers are writing apps for the OS anyway, confident a major payday looms in the future. PopCap Games, creator of titles like Bejeweled and Plants vs. Zombies, plans to introduce its first Android games later this year: “Even though we are not making any money on Android right now, we have pretty high hopes for it,” PopCap’s director of mobile business development Andrew Stein said. “There’s really no reason why users shouldn’t consume and buy content to the same extent on an Android phone as they are on an iPhone.”

Even so, developer frustration with Android is at an all-time high–in recent weeks, a series of prominent developers have publicly vented their problems with the platform. The most scathing comments originated via mobile software engineer Joe Hewitt, the developer responsible for social networking giant Facebook’s wildly popular iPhone application: “Android tools are horrendous, OS is hideous, but the absence of big brother telling me what to do gives it a slight edge,” he recently wrote on Twitter. Hewitt’s previous tweets include comments like “The more I work with Android the more it reminds me of Windows… as in, it’s really flexible, agnostic, and developer-friendly, but also really sloppily designed,” “Android fragmentation will hopefully stabilize within 2 years, and if not, at least people upgrade phones much more often than computers” and “Once a day or so it hits me that I am writing Java, and I cry a little.”

eBay Mobile product manager David Beach is a bit more complimentary, writing on his blog that “Creating an open source mobile platform was one of the smarter things Google has done. It’s too bad that they haven’t done that great of a job doing it. Android has succeeded despite Google. In fact it’s safe to say that Android is successful for one primary reason. The iPhone is only available on AT&T. If the iPhone was on Verizon a year ago, Android would be nowhere near as popular. But since this has yet to happen, Android has become a huge market that isn’t going away.” Beach concedes that it’s time for iPhone developers to begin writing for Android as well, but adds a number of caveats, among them the absence of human interface guidelines, a surplus of OS versions and handset models and Android Market’s clunky consumer experience. “There are some good things,” Beach adds. “Don’t get me wrong. In fact over the past nine months, I’ve sort of fallen in love with Android and all its quirks. It’s a tough love, but love nonetheless.”

Last but not least, Digital Chocolate founder Trip Hawkins pinpoints arguably the most significant reason why Android Market is so short on premium applications: Google’s commitment to allowing consumers to return a downloaded app within 24 hours for a full refund. Calling the refund policy “senseless and lazy,” Hawkins writes “When so many other things on the app store are already free and everything else is free for 24 hours, why would anyone pay for a game? Google defends this policy because they don’t want to police the store. I could understand this if Google were a new startup with a small staff incurring startup losses. But we are talking about Google! If Apple and others can pay attention to what is in their app store, surely Google can also do so. Google has ignored this problem and may remain in denial until 2011, when the widening deficit in their app quality compared with Facebook and Apple should finally motivate them to fix the problem.” It’s your move, Google. -Jason

U-verse customers getting upgrade to 4 simultaneous HD streams

AT&T today said it had started rolling out a new enhancement to its U-verse IPTV service that that lets customers watch up to four HD shows at one time and also gives most U-verse TV customers the ability to record three HD shows and one SD show at the same time with their Total Home DVR–a feature not offered by other TV providers. The provider said the product is rolling out on a market-by-market basis to new and existing customers over the next several months.

The upgrade is due to DSL upgrades and refined MPEG-4 compression, John Stankey, CEO of the AT&T Operations division, told an audience at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Media, Communications & Entertainment investor conference Thursday. When U-verse launched in 2006, it was only capable of four SD streams into a home, he said. Today, customers can watch two consurrent HD streams at home.

In its latest earnings call, AT&T said U-verse had added 209,000 subscribers in Q2, an increase of 60 percent over the like quarter a year earlier, taking the total to some 2.5 million.

U-verse continues to drive a transformation in AT&T’s consumer business, reflected by the fact that consumer IP revenues now represent 40.4 percent of AT&T’s consumer wireline revenues, up from 30.6 percent in the year-earlier quarter. In the second quarter, AT&T U-verse revenues exceeded $1 billion for the first time, more than twice the U-verse revenues in the second quarter of 2009.

‘Highly disruptive’ startup offers live TV on the Internet for $5 a month

Jim O'NeillIf you’ve been chewing antacids because you’ve been worried about over-the-top video cannibalizing your IPTV business as you slowly develop a TV Everywhere strategy as a defense, it may be time to pop a Lunesta because ivi–a new “online cable system”–may keep you up at night, too.

The Seattle-based start-up, which describes itself as “highly disruptive,” is launching a live Web feed of more than three dozen broadcast channels, including ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX and Telemundo to Macs, Windows and Linux computers. It says it will feed to mobile devices, including the iPad soon. ivi claims it already has more content than Hulu, and will be adding more channels over time, and it will maintain an a la carte option as well. The platform is available via a downloadable app for $4.99 a month after a free 30-day trial. Want DVR functionality? It’s yours for an extra 99 cents a month.

CEO and founder Todd Weaver says the company is taking dead aim at the cable industry, which, he says, “has spent countless ivi Internet TVmillions of dollars on so-called ‘TV Everywhere’ solutions in a blind effort to prop-up outdated technology and business models.”

“ivi empowers its users to experience ‘TV Anywhere’, offering them major broadcast channels delivered live to their laptop or desktop, anywhere on the planet,” he said. “Whether eventually integrated into Google TV, Apple TV, or meshed with an existing platform’s digital strategy, ivi makes the set-top-box and any ‘Web to TV’ products obsolete. Instead of attempting to bring the Web to the TV, ivi intuitively brings TV to the Web.”

At the moment, the company has no contracts with any broadcasters, but ivi claims it doesn’t need to, since it’s an online cable system and, as long as it pays fees to the U.S. Copyright Office–which get disbursed to the broadcasters–it’s covered. Although Weaver says it’s not inconceivable that the company will face some legal challenges.

Trust me, were I a pay-TV operator, I’d look for a way to slow this train down before it gets moving too fast.

A trial of the ivi player is pretty impressive, although you’ll need to be satisfied with a low- to standard-definition signal. There’s an option for HD, but I could never get it to work (my connection from home was a little slow this morning). Frankly, that didn’t bother me much as I watched the news and traffic and weather on Good Morning America, The Early Show, and Today over coffee. Even an aging Robert Plant looked pretty good in LD. The bulk of the channels available currently are affiliates from Seattle and New York; but that’s good news for me as I assume I’ll be able to watch the Giants games instead of the Lions.

The channel guide is straight-forward and easy to navigate, something cable operators could take a cue from, although the listings, strangely, stopped at 3 p.m. today, but that may just be a matter of start-up jitters. Speaking of which… there weren’t any. No jitters, no buffering.

The cable industry lost 711,000 customers in the second quarter, its worst performance ever. Some of it, no doubt, was due to the economy’s continued sputtering in much of the country, some of it due to a continued increase in the price of cable services, and some of it–albeit a tiny portion–was due to cord cutters going over the top.

Weaver says ivi can offer the industry a helping hand by bringing cord-cutters back into the fold with a different model.

“Recognizing the fate of the landline telephone and the digital debacle experienced by the music industry, ivi offers the broadcast and cable industries innovation they do not have time to build. Consumer-friendly features like a la carte are built in the ivi technology and are available as a turn-key solution to shift cord-cutting losses into online paid views for content owners, offering consumers the choice they have long demanded, with a compelling solution to a multi-billion dollar problem,” he said. “Forcing consumers to pay for undesired content did not work for the music industry, and it is equally unsustainable for the cable and satellite industries. There is no incentive to fight us, when they should simply join us.”

Weaver says ivi is a solution… maybe, but it’s also a heck of a threat to an industry already looking for ways to stop the bleeding. What do you think?-Jim

Free Video and Multimedia Open Source Website Software Supported

We currently offer and fully support two excellent free HD video/multimedia website software scripts and systems (and we’ll be adding more soon). Both of these video website software scripts are HD video, multimedia, and social media sharing websites — also known as “YouTube Clone” scripts, primarily because they have the same features and functionality of YouTube. We offer both of these video sites virtually turn-key configured and ready to go. Both can be easily and automagically installed in just a few clicks on every video and multimedia website hosting package we offer too. Read more below…

Check out our example HD video and social media website here (#1), and our second example HD video and multimedia website here (#2).

Note: The embedded video examples below are re-sized at 550×253 to fit our blog page and mobile. Check out the full size HD video examples here.

HD Video Example: Flash Player SWF – MP4 -1280kbs – 24FPS – 128kb Audio – 720×340 Resolution

Our example video website #1 and the video embed above, is from a custom version of Clip Bucket V2 with our Open Sunrise Template and HD Gold Flowplayer addons installed. Clip Bucket V2 was created by Arslan Hassan and his team of talented developers international. We’re impressed, it’s packed with features right out of the box and hits the scene running — no pun intended. In our humble opinion it’s clearly one of the best HD video sharing/social media open source software scripts available online.

Clip Bucket is fairly new to the game too for video software scripts, but already has a solidly built foundation, incorporates full video encoding in all major PC / Mobile formats, offers tremendous upside potential, and has a growing community which helps support it’s continued development. We will be contributing the development, and building many more addons for Clip Bucket V2 (download some here). We have several already which are due to be released in the next few days — hit us up on the Clip-Bucket forum or drop us a line to check on the status. Example video website #2 and the video embed directly below is from Vidiscript, another excellent free and open source video script we offer and fully support. The example website Blue/Gold template, white label (your brand) HD video player and MP3 player will be our first module addon releases for Vidiscript with more in the works. VS was just recently acquired and now under new ownership, but we’ve heard there won’t be any changes to the open source licensing, just more overall support, plugins, templates, and good stuff continuing to happen.

Example HD Video FLV – mEncoder Render 1500BR 30FPS – 128K ABR – 720×340 Display Flash SWF Player

That’s good news too, we like Vidiscript’s overall build and potential. It has a solid platform to customize and develop further. Some unique features include an MP3 player and Flash game embedding baked right in (see below example), full HD video and mp3 encoding system which supports all major video and multimedia formats. We plan on releasing some addons for Vidiscript, the current template on our example #2 video website will be our first template released which should be done by next week, and available on our downloads page.

Example HQ MP3 Music Embed – 256K ABR – FFMPEG Encode

Both of these excellent HD video and multimedia open source scripts can be easily installed automatically with a few clicks under your Ultimate Admin GUI Control Panel screen on ANY video and multimedia website package we offer. Plus all of our server packages come turn-key ready for you to start creating your video and social media empire. Everything you would need has already been pre-configured for HD video/multimedia encoding via upload, multiple HD player choices for playback/display for PC/Mobile, and ready to deliver that HD experience at blistering fast speeds to your viewers. If you have other video scripts or multimedia software you want to install on your server account it’s not a problem, just install and go.

Bonus Sneak Peek: Now let’s move on to “the bleeding edge” of open source video tech online

Below is an example of a cross platform HD HTML5 video player (No Flash needed) which can stream both FLV PC or MP4 mobile via RTMP or HTTP for playback depending on the viewers browser. It’s a promising WordPress plugin called Stream Video developed by Rodrigo Polo, we like what it has to offer and are going to be developing it further for integration into our platform. There is a bug to work out with the flash fallback and mobile sniffer. Translation; meaning the player has trouble automatically recognizing a mobile or PC based browser, so it can deliver either a MP4 (mobile) or FLV (PC) video to the viewer.

This isn’t really a big deal though from what we can tell and we’re not scared, this can be easily fixed. It works about 90% of the time “as is” tested on Firefox, Chrome, IE8 and Opera. If you see a “stream not available for this medium” message then it hates your browser. Be a good guinea pig and try refreshing your screen again. Hey that’s why it’s called the bleeding edge of technology, right? If it worked 100% of the time we’d be filing this “Sneak Peek Bonus” topic under the “Stable / Production Ready” (yawn) section.

HD HTML5 Video Player CBC Example: FLV PC / MP4 Mobile -1280kbs – 24FPS – 128kb Audio – 720×340 Resolution

That’s all we have for now folks for HD video examples, but promise there will be more goodies coming real soon. We’re always busy trying to make Multimedia easier, now go relax and enjoy making your video and multimedia website… or two.

About

What we provide

BoonJack Media is a full service website hosting provider which specializes in Hi-Def or HD video and multimedia platforms.

There are many companies today which provide website hosting. Most offer some level of video and multimedia support too, however none can or will support HD video or multimedia playback adequately.

What makes BoonJack Media unique is our focus on delivering a fast and satisfactory user experience regardless of the content. HD quality video and multimedia is extremely popular for many practical business uses and we’ve built our servers around this demand. We provide full website services with all of HD video multimedia packages, and at an affordable price to meet any budget.

Most website hosting providers primary focus is marketing their website hosting services, while supporting video and multimedia is merely lip service. Most hosting simply fails to meet the online demands of today’s memory hungry apps, not to mention HD video or multimedia. Basically resulting in lost opportunities with higher bounce rates for their clients.

Why?

The short answer, there is a strong need for a HD video and multimedia system which does not require expensive streaming to deliver a fast viewing experience. We also wanted to provide a complete, easy to use all-in-one website platform, including hosting services under one administration and management GUI (graphical user interface).

Today’s HD video and multimedia service providers has a huge gap in the overall quality, and speed of delivery today among companies offering this type of service. There are a lot of traditional video hosting companies and services out there, but when you take a look at the HD video hosting options, the choices become quite narrowed and display performance is poor.

Most of the “Better” providers offering HD and video hosting fall flat when it comes to speed of delivery, or require a streaming server. The streaming server hosting costs, compared to standard video hosting, can quickly become inconceivable for the majority of businesses with digital content.

These video hosting companies don’t offer website hosting services either, so it’s not uncommon for companies to have multiple logins, and accounts for their website services. This can be hard to manage, a nightmare juggling all the different account login names and passwords. For someone to put together tracking and analysis, or just to make a simple change on one account might affect your other services too. Managing your website definitely doesn’t have to be this difficult, we kept it simple by providing one simple administration interface, with easy one-click access to all services.

Whats under the hood?

Server Technology: We have built and developed a server architecture from scratch specifically for HD multimedia and video delivery with a focus on a high speed viewing experience for the majority of viewers, browsers, PC types, and ISP bandwidth variations from broadband to mobile. We’ve dubbed the servers as a “Cloud X Hosting” build, with varying versions and configurations which can be integrated into any existing system from Windows to Mac and various Unix/Linux systems. A wide variety of major libraries and coding are supported and pre-configured with dependencies already resolved.

High Speed Delivery: We run wide open and have the pedal to the metal 24/7. We don’t throttle bandwidth or allocate memory per account, all of our servers and accounts serve content on a first come first server basis, and burst unlimited memory on demand.

All Content is served upfront with high RPM solid state hard drives running 1TB per server with dual-raid with daily dual backups on and off site. Our servers are configured per account with 256MB for PHP apps, 1GB file management transfer as standard. Our database architecture is configured for large file handling, MySQL and PostGresSQL are fully supported and we run the latest version of PHPMyAdmin configured with all options.
boonjack-media-fast-website-hosting-period-HD-video-multimedia

The result is a very fast content delivery server that can easily handle large HD video and multimedia files without the need for streaming. If video or media streaming is required, we have pre-built PHP scripts available for free which can be easily implemented into the display system.

No Streaming Required: We also wanted to support media streaming, but without using RTMP. We felt PHP 5 was refined and powerful enough to support streaming. It’s more compatible, less restrictive, and is more cost effective compared to RTMP streaming. Hard and Soft costs of HD (or standard) video management on medium to large platforms can be trimmed by 10X and content delivery performance boosts of 15-20% without bandwidth or memory increases.

If video or media streaming is required for playback, we have pre-built PHP scripts available for free which can be easily implemented into the display system.

If RTMP Streaming is something you need or require, no problem. All of our video multimedia website hosting and server packages can easily integrate with any of the major RTMP systems, like: Wowza, Red 5, Flash Streaming Server, Sorenson, Akamai, Mediacore, and many other popular streaming servers.

No CDN Required: Our system doesn’t require or need a CDN for insuring fast content delivery across geography, an added cost savings benefit we pass on to you. Content delivery networks are great if you need it, most HD or standard video systems recommend or include CDN services for free. Which is usually because their service isn’t strong enough alone to delivery a decent across the board geographic viewing experience.

If you would need or require a CDN service, it’s no problem. All of our video multimedia website hosting and server packages can easily integrate with any CDN, like: SimpleCDN, Amazon Cloudfront, Limelight, Sorenson, and many other popular content delivery networks.

Encoding Included: All our packages included video and media encoding directly from your server account, so there is no need for a separate encoding service. We use FFMPEG, Mencoder, Xvid, x264 and can encode and deliver video in any major format for PC and mobile playback including: AVI, FLV, MP4, 3GP, OGG, F4V, MOV, VP8, and more.

For audio encoding we use FAAC and LAME, and support all major audio codecs including: MP3, WAV, MP4, and many more. MP3 Id3 and exif meta tags are also included and supported for audio and video.

If there’s is a certain rare or exclusive video or audio codec you need no problem, we can provide a player or containers to support it, or simply add the format engines and libraries for you.

Full Website Platform: Full website services with a complete Administration GUI system, very large list of features and options are included in all of the packages we offer. This doesn’t mean that you would need to drop you current website host to purchase one of our multimedia packages. The full website service platform is simply there as an option, like gravy on your mashed potatoes.

Our multimedia packaging and pricing covers all levels and needs for any business looking to deliver fast, high quality HD video and multimedia, and can be simply integrated into your current website hosting system.

You can use the full website services platform to manage all of your websites or not, the choice is yours. If you can’t find a package you like or want to custom build your own, no problem. We offer a “Custom Package Builder” you can utilize to roll your own multimedia package for as little as $4 a month.

High Performance For All: All of our multimedia packages and any “Custom Package Builds” deliver the same high speed HD video and multimedia content performance, regardless of the package level or price. Most HD or standard video companies limit or restrict the speed or delivery performance based upon the level or price of the package you purchase.

We don’t, in fact the only difference between all of our packages and pricing is the amount of storage and bandwidth needed, they all have and include the same features and options too.

For instance our “Marketing Expert” package priced at $9 per month with 1 GB of storage and bandwidth delivers the same high speed HD video and multimedia performance that our top level package does, known appropriately as “The Bigtime” package.

Flexible Monthly Service: Our packages and pricing are simply month to month, with no contract commitment or requirement. You can cancel at anytime, or upgrade, downgrade at any time easily through your administration GUI, known as the Partner Portal. Automated billing is handled through the portal too, with your choice of PayPal or Authorize.Net which accept all major credit or bank debit cards.

White Labeled: We understand the need for businesses to privately utilize services online, and we’ve went to great lengths to ensure complete anonymity for our clients. Competition is fierce, every little edge matters today, co-branding with a service provider negates any competitive advantage and drastically inhibits growth in

sales of your customer base or offerings.

All of our packages are “completely” white labeled or private, with your branding only.

Which simply means BoonJack Media is not related to your website or multimedia package on any front-end, back-end, or website display, period.

We anonymously support our clients, and provide free anonymous nameservers registered privately offshore, or you can use your own. Your HD video and multimedia is delivered directly from your server account and website as well, unlike most video hosting providers which provide you a link to your video from their server to include on your website.

Open Source: BoonJack Media’s platform was built with and around open source architecture and software. We could have went with licensed, proprietary systems and software, but this would mean much higher costs for our clients, and a restrictive environment for our service offerings which we could not guarantee anonymously or white label.

You have complete control to add any service or software to your account desired, change the code, add any branding, or integrate into any other service or system too.

Support and Knowledge: We offer full support for every account, and provide an easy to use support ticketing system built into your administration GUI’s email system for quick and efficient communication with our team of experts standing by. Our Knowledgebase includes a wide range of tutorials both written and videos, step by step instructions, and help icons are just a click away conveniently provided throughout the entire platform.
